Bio

I grew up in small towns across western Oklahoma, but I graduated from Carnegie, Oklahoma in 2016. My first interest in media began in middle school while observing a local high school basketball play-by-play broadcast. After several games spent pestering the broadcasters, I got to put on a headset and a lifelong fascination with broadcasting began. Although I did not pursue a media career directly after high school, instead I attended Oklahoma State University for one year as a Speech Pathology major. After realizing that neither of those were a fit for me, I enrolled at Oklahoma City Community College after a short hiatus from higher education. For the first semester I commuted to classes in southern Oklahoma City from Stillwater, Oklahoma. I graduated with my Associate's Degree in Journalism and Broadcasting from OCCC in May of 2021. After another short hiatus to work and take a break from school, I enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma in January of 2022. Since enrollment at UCO I have been a full time student every semester, while also working either one full time job or multiple part time jobs.  I will graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma in December of 2023. I have experience with audio recording and editing, video recording and editing as well as field and studio photography and editing. I am comfortable in studio or in the field. I enjoy immersing myself in projects and soaking up as much knowledge as I can from those around me.
